Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of an AMA Accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Certification: Certified (CRT) or Registered (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Licensing: Licensed in Wyoming or open to get one.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Experience: No previous experience needed.
Job Description:
- Care Assessment: Evaluate cardio-pulmonary care, identify areas for improvement, and communicate with the department director, physician, or charge nurse. Assess patients' needs and health status.
- Quality Assurance: Keep the charge nurse or physician assistant informed on quality assurance activities.
- Patient Care: Deliver skilled, evidence-based care under a physician's direction, and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented problem-solving techniques.
- Patient Management: Assist in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care needs.
- Medication and Treatment: Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and accurately document allergies, medications, procedures, immunizations, medical history, family history, social history, chief complaints, and vital signs.
- Department Support: Work under the guidance of the Respiratory Therapy Manager to support and coordinate departmental activities. Contribute to the department's mission, vision, and values while adhering to the standards of the Wyoming State Board for Respiratory Care and the American Association of Respiratory Care.
