As the Director of Laboratory Services, you will spearhead our laboratory operations, overseeing a team of dedicated professionals and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Your expertise will drive innovation, optimize processes, and facilitate collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a diverse team of laboratory professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to align laboratory services with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, including workflow management, quality control, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, researchers, and other stakeholders to support clinical trials, research initiatives, and advancements in diagnostic testing.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and ensure timely delivery of accurate test results.
  • Manage the laboratory budget, allocate resources effectively, and optimize cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, exploring opportunities for innovation and staying ahead of the curve.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a hospital or clinical laboratory setting.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards (e.g., CAP, CLIA).
  • Proven track record in driving process improvements, quality management, and operational excellence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Advanced degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Pathology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Professional certification (e.g., ASCP, AMT) (preferred).
