MRI Technician - $7,500 Sign-On Bonus

This position is open to external applicants and requires a commitment a two year commitment. 

The role involves conducting standard and specialized MRI scans while ensuring the MRI equipment is operated safely. The successful candidate will provide patients with efficient, courteous care, and may also support CT operations and other departmental needs as required.

Reporting To: Radiology Manager

Key Responsibilities:

- Safely perform MRI exams, preparing for and assessing the technical quality of MRI images.
- Implement and oversee procedures to maximize the MRI scanner's use.
- Handle "Informed Consent" documentation as necessary.
- Conduct IV insertions with sterile technique and administer contrast media under physician guidance.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the MRI scanner and related equipment, adhering to infection control standards.
- Participate in on-call duties, ensuring availability within 20 minutes if called upon.
- May need to work additional hours or on scheduled days off for part-time positions.
- Follow MRI safety and quality assurance guidelines.
- Efficiently use PACS, RIS, and EMR systems, completing all examination paperwork.
- Meet all continuing education and certification requirements, including Basic Life Support (CPR).
- Engage in Quality Improvement Programs and other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

- Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination, barring religious or medical exemptions.

Qualifications:

Required:
- Graduation from an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology program.
- Minimum of one year's experience as a radiologic technologist, including fluoroscopy.
- Washington State Certification as a radiologic technologist.
- ARRT registration in MRI within one year of starting in the MRI role.

Preferred:
- Prior MRI experience.
- ARRT registration in CT or obtained within one year of employment.
- Proficiency in computer use, keyboarding skills, and email communication.
