Job Description:

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be essential in delivering care to patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create and execute care plans, perform diagnostic tests, and administer therapeutic treatments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic tests, including spirometry, arterial blood gases, and pulmonary function tests.
  • Assess and treat patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.
  • Administer respiratory treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions and treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient responses to therapy and make necessary adjustments.
  • Work with physicians and healthcare team members to create and implement patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document all treatments and interventions.
  • Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of respiratory care techniques and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • CPR and BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
