Full Time - 72 Hours/PP  

 

Position Summary: 

One of our esteemed regional clients has entrusted us with the task of recruiting a highly qualified Registered Respiratory Therapist. This role involves delivering comprehensive respiratory care by performing various diagnostic, therapeutic, and emergency procedures, all designed to optimize patient outcomes and maintain respiratory health across the continuum of care.

 

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a thorough understanding of respiratory care practices, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. This position demands excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills, as well as a dedication to continuous professional development and education.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medication delivery, chest physiotherapy, and bronchial hygiene techniques as prescribed by a physician.
  • Continuously assess patients' respiratory status, including vital signs, oxygen saturation, and blood gas levels, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Set up, operate, and adjust mechanical ventilators and other life-support equipment, ensuring proper ventilatory parameters and patient comfort.
  • Perform diagnostic tests to measure lung capacity, volume, and flow rates to assess the extent of respiratory impairment.
  • Respond to respiratory emergencies, including code blue situations, by initiating resuscitative measures, administering medications, and providing airway management.

Qualifications: 

  • Education: Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care (required).
  • Experience: Previous clinical experience in Respiratory Care (preferred).

Certification / Licenses: 

  • Must have a valid/unrestricted license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Washington state.
  • BLS Certification is required upon hire. 
  • ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required within 6 months of hire.
