Responsibilities:

Conduct Diagnostic Imaging Procedures: Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs, ensuring the highest quality images for accurate diagnoses.

Patient Care: Provide exceptional patient care, explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.

Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring its proper functionality and compliance with safety standards. Troubleshoot equipment issues and notify appropriate personnel for repairs.

Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to analyze and interpret imaging results, contributing to accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and complete patient records, documenting procedures, equipment settings, and patient information.

Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance programs to uphold the highest standards of imaging quality and patient care.

Radiation Safety: Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines, minimizing exposure risks for both patients and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
  • Washington State Certification as Radiologic Technologist (RT) license.

Education: Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Certification: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.

State Licensure: Current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.

Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Radiology Technologist, with proficiency in X-ray, CT, and MRI procedures.

Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.

Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new technologies and stay current with advancements in the field.

Team Player: Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.

 

Working Conditions:

Exposure to ionizing radiation, infectious diseases, blood, and other body substances. Required to wear appropriate protective clothing to include lead or lead equivalent attire when performing procedure that provide exposure. Must be able to take call with a response time of 20 minutes. Assists in lifting patients and places them in appropriate positions with the use of safe patient handling equipment. Requires manual and finger dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and depth perception for operation of equipment.
