Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medication delivery, chest physiotherapy, and bronchial hygiene techniques as prescribed by physicians.
  • Continuously monitor and assess patients' respiratory status, including vital signs, oxygen saturation, and blood gas levels, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Operate, set up, and maintain mechanical ventilators and life-support equipment, ensuring optimal ventilatory parameters and patient comfort.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to evaluate lung capacity, volume, and flow rates, aiding in the assessment of respiratory impairment.
  • Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies, including code blue situations, by initiating resuscitative measures, administering medications, and managing airways.

Qualifications: 

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care (required).
  • Experience: Previous clinical experience in Respiratory Care (preferred).
  • Certification / Licenses: 

    - Valid/unrestricted license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Washington state.

    - BLS Certification (required upon hire).

    - ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (required within 6 months of hire).
