Acute Physical Therapist – Full Time

Join our hospital-based rehabilitation team in Olympia, Washington, where your clinical expertise will support patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury. What You’ll Do
Conduct Comprehensive Patient Assessments
- Evaluate physical function, limitations, and recovery potential to develop customized treatment plans that align with each patient’s specific medical condition and recovery goals.
Deliver Therapeutic Interventions
- Implement evidence-based acute care physical therapy strategies, including mobility training, therapeutic exercises, and manual techniques to restore movement and reduce pain.
Monitor and Adjust Treatment Plans
- Track patient progress closely, making timely adjustments to treatment approaches to support recovery milestones and improve functional outcomes.
Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams
- Work alongside physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, case managers, and other providers to deliver coordinated, holistic care within the hospital setting.
Educate Patients and Families
- Provide instruction on safe mobility practices, home exercises, and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and reduce the risk of re-injury.
Promote Early Mobilization and Prevent Functional Decline
- Encourage physical activity and proactive rehabilitation to support improved patient outcomes and long-term wellness.
Qualifications
Education:
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent
- New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply
Licensure & Certification:
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Washington State
- Specialty certifications (e.g., geriatrics, orthopedics, neuro) are a plus
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in an acute care or hospital setting preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
