Ultrasound Technologist Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations, addressing their concerns and inquiries.
- Ensure precise alignment and exposure by positioning patients and equipment appropriately.
- Operate ultrasound equipment proficiently to produce high-quality images, adjusting settings for optimal results.
- Monitor patient well-being throughout procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
- Review and process images to maintain quality standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to adhere to diagnostic protocols
Ultrasound Technologist Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- College coursework guided towards ARDMS Board certification
- hands-on clinical ultrasound experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography ARDMS Board certification required.
- ARRT (R) and Vermont State Radiologic Technician license is a plus.
- Current health care provider BLS certification within 90 days of hire required.
