Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team and provide exceptional mental health care services to our patients. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating the mental health conditions of patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations of patients to assess their mental health status and develop treatment plans
  • Prescribe medication and monitor patient responses to medication
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals and medical staff to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Keep accurate and timely records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes
  • Participate in staff meetings, clinical supervision, and ongoing education and training programs

Requirements:

  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner (DNP) in Psychiatry
  • Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Vermont or New Hampshire
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting
