Description

• Conduct evaluations for various age groups, utilizing a combination of standardized assessments and observational insights.
• Create tailored treatment plans addressing both short-term achievements and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions that cover aspects of language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate effectively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure cohesive care plans.
• Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to maintain consistent care throughout the recovery process.
• Ensure all documentation is thorough and timely, adhering to state, federal, and institutional requirements.
• Remain updated with the latest developments in the field through ongoing education and collaborative discussions with peers.

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) pending ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a mandatory requirement within the first 30 days of employment.
