A community-based hospital has engaged MLee Healthcare to recruit a Director of Quality and Process Improvement to join their team. We're seeking a well-skilled, highly productive team player to work with their program.

Job Description:

The Director of Quality and Process Improvement is responsible for oversight of all quality initiatives to include monitoring quality metrics at the unit level. This position oversees regulatory readiness through assessment and implementation of measures to meet regulatory requirements. The Director, Quality and Process Improvement evaluates the overall care of patients by identifying opportunities for improvement in patient care practice. Through identification of process improvements and educational opportunities, communication, and reporting state of quality to several groups.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare Administration
• Current Virginia State Registered Nurse License
• 5 years' experience in Acute Care setting
• 1 year of Leadership experience
• 1 year of Project Management or Quality Improvement experience
• Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred
• 5+ years Supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred

Responsibilities:

• Creates a compelling mission and vision for department and organization in alignment with overall system strategic goals and objectives.
• Understands current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting the healthcare industry.
• Ensures that employees fully understand their roles, responsibilities and performance standards/ expectations and provides ongoing feedback and support as employees strive to achieve expectations.
• Applies key financial concepts and analysis to decision making. Participates in the budget planning process. Adheres to realistic budgets to achieve the organization's objectives.
