Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for a diverse range of patients, from children to adults and seniors, utilizing evidence-based assessment tools and observational insights.
• Design customized therapeutic plans tailored to meet immediate targets and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver engaging, one-on-one speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice control, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure a comprehensive care approach.
• Provide educational resources and support to patients and their families, helping them engage in meaningful practices outside of therapy sessions.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout each patient's journey.
• Maintain precise and timely patient documentation consistent with organizational, state, and federal regulations.
• Stay abreast of the latest innovations in the field by pursuing ongoing professional education and engaging with peers.

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
