We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hospital Laboratory Director to join our dynamic healthcare team. As the Laboratory Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our hospital laboratory, ensuring the delivery of high-quality laboratory services and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the hospital laboratory, including managing personnel, budgets, and resources.
  • Develop and implement laboratory policies, procedures, and protocols in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including CLIA, CAP, and state licensing requirements.
  • Manage and maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and inventory, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to quality control standards.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency, accuracy, and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other departments to ensure seamless integration of laboratory services into patient care.
  • Oversee laboratory staff recruitment, training, and performance management, fostering a positive work environment and professional growth opportunities.
  • Stay current on advancements in laboratory technology, research, and industry trends, and implement innovative approaches to enhance laboratory operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring data integrity and compliance with documentation standards.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Current and valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) certification.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in a hospital laboratory setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of laboratory operations, regulations, and industry best practices.
