Position Overview: 

MLR.org invites a talented and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to become an integral part of our client’s dynamic healthcare team. In this key role, you will be at the heart of patient care, delivering specialized anesthesia services across a variety of surgical and procedural settings. Your clinical expertise and precision in anesthesia management will be crucial in conducting thorough pre-anesthesia evaluations, administering anesthesia with the highest level of skill, and ensuring seamless patient monitoring throughout every phase of their procedure. Responsibilities: 

  • Anesthesia Administration: Safely administer anesthesia to patients for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
  • Pre-Anesthesia Assessment: Evaluate patients' medical history, conduct physical exams, and develop individualized anesthesia care plans.
  • Intraoperative Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients’ vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels during procedures to ensure stability.
  • Post-Anesthesia Care: Oversee patients' recovery from anesthesia, managing pain and monitoring for complications.
  • Patient Education: Inform patients and families about the anesthesia process, risks, and post-procedure care.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Emergency Response: Respond quickly to anesthesia-related emergencies, providing necessary interventions and support.

Qualifications: 

  • Current New Mexico and federal DEA certificate.
  • Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state of New Mexico.
  • Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program.
  • Current certification as a nurse anesthetist from the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or its predecessor.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
  • Current New Mexico CRNA license.
