MLR is seeking a skilled and dedicated IMCU Registered Nurse to join out client's esteemed team near Waco, Texas!

 

Key Responsibilities for an IMCU Registered Nurse:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care Unit, closely monitoring their condition and vital signs.
  • Assess patients’ needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Educate patients and their families about care plans, procedures, and ongoing health management.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the hospital's electronic health records.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in nursing care for intermediate care patients.

IMCU Registered Nurse Qualifications:

  • Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse is required.
  • Certification in CPR and BLS is required.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • NIH Stroke Scale is required. 
  • Previous experience in an IMCU, ICU, or similar critical care setting is highly desirable.
