Join Our Team as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Uvalde, TX

 

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to join our imaging and diagnostic care team in Uvalde, Texas. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures and providing critical imaging support to help physicians diagnose and manage a variety of conditions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals following all safety protocols
  • Operate nuclear imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and PET/CT systems
  • Conduct a range of diagnostic procedures (e.g., cardiac scans, bone scans, thyroid imaging)
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards
  • Record and maintain accurate patient data and imaging documentation
  • Educate and assist patients throughout the diagnostic process
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare staff

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • Certification through ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB, or eligibility to obtain
  • Current BLS certification
  • Strong technical knowledge of nuclear imaging equipment and safety standards
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Prior experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
