Intermediate Care Unit Specialist
MLR (MLee Recruiting) is searching for a dedicated Intermediate Care Unit Specialist for a full-time, permanent role at a respected acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas. Join a team devoted to delivering outstanding care!
Salary: $84,830 - $102,456 per year
Primary Responsibilities:
- Patient Surveillance: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and overall well-being, ensuring timely intervention for any changes.
- Clinical Evaluation: Perform thorough assessments of patients’ conditions and progress, maintaining accurate documentation and communicating updates to the healthcare team.
- Work Schedule: Night shifts with flexible scheduling options available.
- Medication and Treatment Administration: Administer medications and treatments accurately, strictly adhering to medical guidelines and protocols.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and manage individualized care plans for each patient.
- Emergency Response: Act swiftly in medical emergencies, providing critical care and executing life-saving procedures as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Active RN License: Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in good standing.
- CPR-BCLS Certification: Required prior to completing orientation.
- ACLS Certification: Must be obtained by the conclusion of the orientation period.
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification: Required before finishing orientation.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using computer systems for data entry and operating medical equipment for therapeutic purposes.
- Professional Conduct: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Nursing Knowledge: Strong understanding of the nursing process and the capability to provide care in accordance with established standards.
- Confidentiality: Able to manage sensitive information with the highest degree of discretion.
