Nuclear Medicine Technologist
MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a full-time, permanent Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a skilled team at a respected acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas.
Salary: $68,011 - $98,289 per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and Administer Radiopharmaceuticals: Safely prepare and administer radioactive materials for diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Capture Diagnostic Images: Perform imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing various medical conditions.
- Work Schedule: Day shifts, Monday through Friday.
- Radiation Safety: Adhere to stringent safety protocols to ensure minimal radiation exposure for both patients and staff.
- Specimen Analysis: Conduct lab analyses of patient specimens as needed.
- Appointment Coordination: Efficiently manage and schedule patient appointments.
- Patient Education: Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients, helping them understand the process and feel comfortable.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology or Nuclear Medicine program.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine.
- Certifications: NMTCB or ARRT certification required.
- Licensure: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as an MRT.
- CPR/BLS Certification: Current certification required.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of all facets of nuclear medicine.
- IV Proficiency: Skilled in starting IVs.
- EKG & Stress Testing: Familiarity with EKGs and stress testing systems.
- Injection Expertise: Ability to administer injections for pharmacologic testing.
