Nuclear Medicine Technologist
MLR (MLee Recruiting) is looking for a full-time, permanent Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a talented team at a reputable acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas.
Salary: $68,011 - $98,289 per year
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and Administer Radiopharmaceuticals: Safely prepare and administer radioactive substances for diagnostic imaging procedures.
Capture Diagnostic Images: Perform imaging tests to assist physicians in diagnosing a variety of medical conditions.
Work Schedule: Day shifts, Monday through Friday.
Radiation Safety: Follow strict safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure for both patients and staff.
Specimen Analysis: Conduct laboratory analyses of patient specimens as necessary.
Appointment Coordination: Effectively manage and schedule patient appointments.
Patient Education: Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients, ensuring they understand the process and feel at ease.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate from an accredited Radiology or Nuclear Medicine program.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine.
Certifications: NMTCB or ARRT certification required.
Licensure: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as an MRT.
CPR/BLS Certification: Current certification is required.
Technical Skills: Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of nuclear medicine.
IV Proficiency: Proficient in starting IVs.
EKG & Stress Testing: Familiarity with EKGs and stress testing systems.
Injection Expertise: Capable of administering injections for pharmacologic testing.
