Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor

MLee Healthcare has been engaged by a client to recruit a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor for their growing team in central Texas.Responsibilities:

  • Conducting assessments: LCDC is responsible for evaluating clients to determine the severity of their addiction, the potential causes of their addiction, and any underlying mental health issues that may be contributing to their substance abuse.

  • Developing treatment plans: Based on their assessment, LCDC develops individualized treatment plans that may include individual or group counseling, education, and support.

  • Providing counseling: LCDC offers individual and group counseling to help clients address their addiction and any related issues. This may include cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based therapies.

  • Monitoring progress: LCDC monitors clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure that clients are receiving the support they need to overcome their addiction.

  • Advocating for clients: LCDC may work with other healthcare professionals and organizations to advocate for their clients' needs and ensure that they are receiving appropriate care.

  • Maintaining records: LCDC maintains accurate and up-to-date records of their clients' treatment and progress.

  • Providing education: LCDC provides education to clients and their families on the risks of substance abuse, the benefits of treatment, and strategies for maintaining sobriety.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field such as psychology, counseling, or social work

National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals (NCC AP)
