We seek an experienced and visionary Director of Emergency Services to lead their dynamic team and advance their commitment to excellence.

 

Position Overview: The Director of Emergency Services will oversee the operations of our Emergency Department (ED), ensuring efficient and effective care delivery, staff management, and continuous improvement. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of emergency medicine, operational excellence, and the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team of healthcare professionals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Emergency Services department, including the Emergency Department and related services.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure effective coordination and communication within the department.
  • Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and resources, optimizing efficiency and performance.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.
  • Foster a supportive and collaborative work environment, promoting staff development and professional growth.
  • Engage with the community and stakeholders to address emergent healthcare needs and promote emergency preparedness.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
  • Master's degree MHA, MSN, MBA, or related field preferred.
  • Three-plus years of experience working in emergency services is required
  • Three or more years of experience in a leadership role is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state where they practice, by law and regulation, required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
