Sonographer- Cardiovascular
MLR, in collaboration with a well-established healthcare provider, is seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Sonographer to join their team for a full-time, day shift position. The role involves performing diagnostic cardiovascular ultrasound procedures, preparing preliminary reports, and ensuring the highest standards of imaging quality. As part of a collaborative healthcare team, you will play an essential role in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cardiovascular ultrasound exams, accurately documenting results in the electronic health record system.
- Generate initial diagnostic reports for physician review, promptly communicating any critical findings in accordance with department protocols.
- Maintain necessary professional certifications and stay current with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care and diagnostic outcomes.
Sonographer- Cardiovascular Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: At least 1 year of on-the-job training or graduation from an accredited ultrasound program.
- Certifications: RDCS or RCS certification in adult echocardiography, or RVT/RVS in vascular ultrasound (or to be obtained within 1 year of hire), and CPR certification.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in performing cardiovascular and vascular ultrasound procedures, knowledge of related equipment, and willingness to participate in ongoing training and meetings. Availability to work on-call shifts, including weekends and holidays.
