MLR is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our client’s rehabilitation team in Texas. In this important role, you will assist in providing high-quality patient care and support the delivery of effective physical therapy treatments.
 

Key Responsibilities for a PTA:

  • Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and therapy programs for patients with various musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions.
  • Conduct patient assessments and gather information to support the development of personalized therapy plans.
  • Provide hands-on therapy, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities, while monitoring patient progress.
  • Educate patients and their families about exercises, techniques, and home care to enhance recovery and prevent future injuries.
  • Document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and any changes in condition accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective treatment outcomes.
  • Maintain and clean therapy equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and properly sanitized.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, infection control procedures, and regulatory guidelines to ensure a safe and effective therapy environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s of Arts Degree and accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Texas.
  • Valid CPR Certification.
