Ultrasound Technologist
MLR (MLee Recruiting) is looking for a dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join a highly skilled team in a full-time, permanent position at a reputable acute-care hospital near Brownwood, Texas!
Salary: $61,768 - $85,429 annually
Work Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts, Thursday through Saturday, 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM
Primary Responsibilities:
- Patient Positioning: Safely prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations, ensuring their comfort throughout the process.
- Operation of Equipment: Operate ultrasound machines to capture high-quality images of internal structures and organs.
- Image Interpretation: Review and assess ultrasound images to assist in diagnosing medical conditions and developing treatment plans.
- Documentation: Maintain precise records of patient details, procedures performed, and results from diagnostic imaging.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, radiologists, and healthcare staff to review imaging results and contribute to patient care decisions.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper upkeep and calibration of ultrasound equipment, and promptly address any technical issues.
- Patient Communication: Clearly explain procedures to patients, respond to their inquiries, and provide post-exam care instructions.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiology or Ultrasound program.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in ultrasound.
- ARRT or ARDMS certification required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (MRT) or ARDMS.
- Professional appearance and behavior at all times.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with care and discretion.
