MLR is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time, permanent, direct-hire, Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator to join the Cath Lab & Cardiology team at a well-respected acute-care hospital located near Prosper, Texas!
Key Responsibilities for Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator - Cath Lab / Cardiology:
- Clinical Leadership: Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care in the Cath Lab. Provide leadership support to the Nurse Manager in maintaining high clinical standards and promoting a high-functioning, efficient Cath Lab environment.
- Patient Care: Serve as a staff nurse or relief charge nurse as needed, offering hands-on care and clinical leadership during shifts, with a primary focus on Cath Lab procedures.
- Team Development: Mentor and support Cath Lab nursing staff, fostering professional growth, and creating a team-oriented work environment. Lead initiatives to promote continuous improvement in patient care.
- Quality & Safety: Ensure a safe, high-quality clinical environment for both patients and staff, complying with all relevant standards, protocols, and regulations specific to the Cath Lab setting.
- Professional Engagement: Take responsibility for your personal and professional development, and foster team and organizational engagement to enhance the overall success of the department.
Qualifications for Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator - Cath Lab / Cardiology:
- Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
- Licensure: Current, unrestricted license to practice professional nursing in Texas.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of direct experience working in a Cath Lab is required. Candidates without Cath Lab experience will not be considered. Experience only in other areas such as CVOR, cardiology floor nursing, or heart surgery does not qualify.
- Certification: Current CPR certification required; national certification in Cath Lab or related specialties is preferred or must be obtained within one year of hire.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills with a focus on patient-centered care specific to Cath Lab procedures.
