ASCP / AMT Medical Laboratory Technician

MLR is seeking a Certified Medical Technologist (ASCP or AMT) to join our client’s innovative laboratory team near, Palestine Texas! 

Medical Technologist Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct a wide range of laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology with precision.
• Analyze and interpret results efficiently, ensuring critical data is communicated promptly to healthcare providers.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab equipment to minimize disruptions and ensure optimal functionality.
• Adhere to strict quality control measures and regulatory standards to guarantee high performance and reliability.
• Accurately document test results in the Laboratory Information System (LIS), safeguarding patient privacy at all times.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to provide insights and discuss the implications of test results on patient care.
• Engage in continuous education and training to stay current with new laboratory methods and technologies.

MT Required Qualifications:

• Medical Technologist (MT) certification through ASCP or AMT.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related discipline from an accredited program.
• Active or eligibility for state licensure as a Medical Technologist in Texas.
