Acute Clinical Therapist
MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Therapist to join a well-regarded acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas. This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in a dynamic setting, providing comprehensive mental health care and support.
Salary: $75,432 - $98,491 annually
Schedule: Monday to Friday, night shifts
Core Responsibilities
- Client Evaluation: Perform comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental and emotional states, applying established clinical methodologies to make accurate diagnoses.
- Creating Treatment Plans: Develop individualized treatment strategies based on evidence-based therapeutic methods that address specific client needs.
- Therapeutic Support: Lead individual, group, and family therapy sessions, assisting clients in managing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties.
Qualifications
- Licensure: A valid Respiratory Care license in Texas is required.
- NBRC Certification: Maintain active certification with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), particularly for those enrolled in the Continuing Competency Program (CCP).
- Credentialing Requirements: Newly graduated therapists are required to obtain CRT certification and are expected to pursue RRT certification within one year. Failure to achieve RRT certification within this timeframe will result in reassignment to a Respiratory Care Practitioner role until certification is obtained.
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS): Must be obtained prior to any patient interaction.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS): To be completed within six months of employment.
- Pediatric Emergency (ENPC or PALS): Required within the first year of employment.
- Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP): Certification must be completed within one year.
Technical Skills and Safety Compliance
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in data entry and use of healthcare computer systems.
- Compliance with Safety Standards: Adhere to OSHA and NIOSH regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
