Acute Clinical Therapist

 

MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Therapist to join a highly regarded acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas. This full-time, permanent role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment, providing comprehensive mental health care and support.

 

Salary: $75,432 - $98,491 per year

 

Schedule: Night shifts, Monday through Friday

 

Responsibilities:

  • Client Assessment: Perform in-depth evaluations to assess mental and emotional health, providing accurate diagnoses using evidence-based clinical assessments.
  • Develop Treatment Plans: Create tailored treatment strategies addressing individual client needs through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Therapy Facilitation: Lead individual, group, and family therapy sessions to support clients dealing with a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational issues.

Requirements:

  • Licensure: Must hold a Texas State License in Respiratory Care.
  • NBRC Status: Maintain active annual status with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) for those under the Continuing Competency Program (CCP).
  • Credentialing: Graduate therapists must obtain CRT credentials and test for RRT credentials within one year of graduation. If RRT is not obtained, the therapist will transition to a Respiratory Care Practitioner role until certification is achieved.
  • Certifications:
    • BLS certification required prior to patient interactions.
    • ACLS certification must be obtained within six months.
    • ENPC or PALS certification required within one year.
    • NRP certification must be completed within one year.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data entry and computer systems.
  • Compliance: Maintain a safe work environment in line with OSHA and NIOSH standards.
