Acute Clinical Therapist

 

MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Therapist to join a well-regarded acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas. This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in a dynamic setting, providing comprehensive mental health care and support.

 

Salary: $75,432 - $98,491 annually

Schedule: Monday to Friday, night shifts

Core Responsibilities

  • Client Assessment: Conduct detailed evaluations to determine clients' mental and emotional health, using established clinical practices to make accurate diagnoses.
  • Developing Treatment Plans: Design tailored treatment approaches that meet individual client needs through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Therapy Sessions: Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, supporting clients managing issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational challenges.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: A valid Texas State License in Respiratory Care is required.
  • NBRC Status: Maintain active, current status with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) for those in the Continuing Competency Program (CCP).
  • Credentialing: Newly graduated therapists need to obtain CRT credentials and must test for RRT credentials within one year of graduation. If RRT is not obtained within this timeframe, the therapist will move to a Respiratory Care Practitioner role until certification is achieved.

Certifications

  • BLS: Required before working with patients.
  • ACLS: Must be acquired within six months.
  • ENPC or PALS: Required within the first year.
  • NRP: Must be completed within one year.

Technical Skills and Compliance

  • Technical Skills: Must be proficient with data entry and computer systems.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to OSHA and NIOSH standards to maintain a safe work environment.
