Chemical Dependency Counselor

We are seeking a Chemical Dependency Counselor to join our team. As a chemical Dependency Counselor, you will be responsible for providing telephonic counseling and support to employees and their family members, providing assessment and referral services, and delivering presentations and training to promote employee wellness. In this role, you will be trained to provide confidential counseling services to individuals experiencing personal, family or work-related problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide telephonic counseling and support services to employees and their family members in accordance with the EAP program guidelines
  • Conduct assessments and make referrals to appropriate resources as needed
  • Provide critical incident stress management (CISM) support services as needed
  • Deliver presentations and training to promote employee wellness and stress reduction
  • Assist with marketing and promoting the EAP program to internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all services provided

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, social work, or related field
  • LCDC Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor
  • Certificate from a recognized state or national credentialing board for drug and/or alcohol counseling
