MLR (MLee Recruiting) is hiring a dedicated, full-time, permanent Intermediate Care Unit Specialist to join a skilled team at a well-respected acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas!
Salary Range: $84,830 - $102,000 annually
Primary Duties of an Intermediate Care Unit Specialist:
- Patient Monitoring: Regularly observe patient vital signs and health conditions, quickly responding to any noticeable changes or distress.
- Clinical Assessment: Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients' health status and recovery progress, documenting findings accurately and sharing them with the healthcare team.
- Shift Information: Night shifts with flexible scheduling options.
- Medication and Treatment Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments in line with established protocols.
- Care Team Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement tailored care plans for each patient.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively in urgent situations, providing life-saving care and interventions as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) License: Must possess an active RN license.
- CPR-BCLS Certification: Must be obtained by the end of the orientation period.
- ACLS Certification: Must be completed before the orientation ends.
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification: Must be achieved before the orientation period concludes.
- Data Entry Skills: Proficient in recording patient data into healthcare systems.
- Therapeutic Equipment Knowledge: Skilled in using and maintaining therapeutic medical devices.
- Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor consistently.
- Nursing Expertise: Deep understanding of the nursing process, ensuring patient care meets industry best practices.
- Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and confidentiality.
