Position Overview
Join our expanding team of imaging specialists as a dedicated Sonography / Ultrasound Technologist, committed to delivering exceptional medical care. Utilizing cutting-edge ultrasound technology, you will perform essential diagnostic examinations in collaboration with a supportive team, ensuring patients receive timely, precise imaging that helps ease their anxieties.
Description of Responsibilities
- Conduct a broad array of ultrasound examinations, from abdominal and obstetric to gynecological and vascular imaging
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, clearly explaining each step with empathy
- Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure the provision of high-quality diagnostic imagery
- Manage and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any operational issues
- Document procedures accurately and maintain patient records within the electronic medical record system
- Remain updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and practices
Education Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a similar discipline
- Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program
Certifications Required
- Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
