Position Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a Computed Tomography Tech and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional imaging services. In this specialized role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide advanced imaging solutions, including CT scans, X-rays, ultrasound, interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine. Your expertise will ensure the highest quality of diagnostic imaging and assist Radiologists with critical procedures requiring CT guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute Imaging Procedures: Perform precise CT and X-ray imaging procedures as ordered by physicians.
- Patient Interaction: Explain procedures to patients, ensuring they understand and are comfortable throughout the process.
- Accurate Positioning: Position patients correctly to obtain the necessary images.
- Contrast Administration: Administer IV contrast dyes to enhance imaging clarity.
- Image Analysis: Examine and verify the quality of images to ensure they meet diagnostic standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot CT scan equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage the inventory of CT scan supplies, making orders as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program (required).
- Licensure / Certification:
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification (required).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
- Texas Department of State Health certification (required).
- Experience:
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
