Ultrasound Technologist
MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a full-time, permanent Ultrasound Technologist to join a highly skilled team at a reputable acute-care hospital near Brownwood, Texas.
Salary: $61,799 - $85,699 annually
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Preparation: Safely position and prepare patients for ultrasound examinations, ensuring their comfort throughout the procedure.
- Operate Equipment: Expertly operate ultrasound machinery to capture high-quality images of internal organs and structures for diagnostic purposes.
- Work Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts, Thursday through Saturday, from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM.
- Image Analysis: Review and interpret ultrasound images to assist in diagnosing medical conditions and developing treatment plans.
- Documentation: Accurately record patient histories, procedures performed, and diagnostic findings.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and contribute to comprehensive patient care strategies.
- Equipment Management: Ensure that ultrasound equipment is well-maintained and calibrated, promptly reporting any technical issues.
- Patient Communication: Clearly explain procedures to patients, address any questions, and provide post-procedure care instructions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate from an accredited Radiology or Ultrasound program.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in ultrasound.
- Certifications: Must hold certification from ARRT or ARDMS.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS): Certification required.
- Licensure: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (MRT) or certified by ARDMS.
- Professionalism: Maintain a polished and professional appearance at all times.
- Confidentiality: Capable of handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
