MLR is seeking a passionate Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join our client’s team near Cypress, Texas!
Primary Duties for a Medical Technologist / MLS:
- Conduct a wide range of lab tests in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and blood banking with precision and accuracy.
- Interpret and verify test results, ensuring accuracy for effective patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Follow safety protocols and laboratory guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and medical staff by delivering timely and accurate test results.
- Record and report findings in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) while protecting patient confidentiality.
- Participate in quality control initiatives to maintain high laboratory standards.
- Stay updated on medical technology advancements and laboratory best practices through continuous education.
Qualifications for a Medical Technologist / MLS:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- ASCP certification (or equivalent) is required.
- Current Texas Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist license, or the ability to obtain one.
