Nursing Specialist - Full-Time
MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a dedicated full-time Nursing Specialist to join a dynamic team at a reputable acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas!
Salary Range: $65,540 - $90,320 annually
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and Communicate with Patients: Assess patients' health conditions and address any concerns they may have.
- Document Patient Information: Accurately record medical histories, current symptoms, and overall health status in detail.
- Prepare Patients for Procedures: Ensure patients are well-informed, comfortable, and ready for examinations or treatments.
- Shift Schedule: Night shifts, Monday through Friday.
- Administer Prescribed Medications and Treatments: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, carefully monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with medical professionals to create and update individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide Wound Care: Perform wound care procedures, including cleaning and dressing.
- Support in Medical Procedures: Assist the healthcare team in performing medical procedures as needed.
- Operate and Maintain Medical Equipment: Ensure medical devices are in proper working condition and monitor their use during procedures.
- Collect Specimens for Lab Testing: Gather blood, urine, and other necessary samples for laboratory analysis.
- Educate Patients and Families: Provide clear instructions on treatment plans to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Supervise Junior Staff: Oversee the work of licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and nursing students to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) License
- CPR-BCLS Certification
- ACLS Certification: C4 – required within 6 months
- NRP Certification: Required within 6 months for C4 and L&D
- PALS or ENPC Certification: Required within 18 months for Pediatrics
