Nursing Specialist - Full-Time
MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a dedicated full-time Nursing Specialist to join a vibrant team at a reputable acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas!
Salary Range: $65,540 - $90,320 annually
Core Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment and Communication: Evaluate patients' health conditions and address any concerns they may have.
- Documentation of Patient Information: Accurately record medical histories, current symptoms, and overall health information.
- Preparation of Patients for Procedures: Ensure patients are well-informed, comfortable, and ready for examinations or treatments.
- Shift Schedule: Night shifts from Monday to Friday.
- Medication and Treatment Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments, closely monitoring for any side effects or adverse reactions.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Teams: Collaborate with medical professionals to create and update personalized care plans for patients.
- Wound Care Management: Perform wound care procedures, including cleaning and dressing as needed.
- Assistance during Medical Procedures: Support the healthcare team in performing medical procedures as necessary.
- Operation and Maintenance of Medical Equipment: Ensure medical devices are functioning properly and monitor their use during procedures.
- Specimen Collection for Laboratory Testing: Collect blood, urine, and other necessary samples for laboratory analysis.
- Patient and Family Education: Provide clear explanations of treatment plans to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Supervision of Junior Staff: Oversee the work of licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and nursing students to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) License: Must hold a valid RN license.
- CPR-BCLS Certification: Required.
- ACLS Certification: C4 certification required within six months.
- NRP Certification: Required within six months for C4 and Labor & Delivery units.
- PALS or ENPC Certification: Required within 18 months for Pediatric units.
