Ultrasound Technologist

 

MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a full-time, permanent, direct-hire Ultrasound Technologist to become a vital member of the healthcare team at an established acute-care hospital near Brownwood, Texas!

 

Pay: $61,768 to $85,429 per year

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will provide high-quality imaging services, ensuring patient comfort and delivering accurate diagnostic results to support exceptional care.

 

Work Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM, Thursday through Saturday.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Patient Preparation: Prepare and position patients for ultrasound exams, prioritizing safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate ultrasound machines to capture clear, high-quality images of internal body structures for diagnostic purposes.
  • Image Evaluation: Review and interpret ultrasound images, providing critical insights to physicians for the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient histories, procedures, and diagnostic results, ensuring timely and precise documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and contribute to patient care plans.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly calibrate and maintain ultrasound equipment, addressing any technical issues to ensure consistent performance.
  • Patient Communication: Clearly explain the ultrasound procedure to patients, address their concerns, and provide post-procedure care instructions when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Radiology or Ultrasound program.
  • At least 1 year of experience in ultrasound.
  • ARRT or ARDMS certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Texas Medical Board MRT certification or ARDMS certification.
  • Professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
