Ultrasound Technologist
MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a full-time, permanent, direct-hire Ultrasound Technologist to become a key member of the healthcare team at a reputable acute-care hospital near Brownwood, Texas!
Work Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM, Thursday through Saturday.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Patient Preparation: Ensure patients are properly positioned and prepared for ultrasound exams, prioritizing their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Equipment Operation: Operate ultrasound machines to capture clear, detailed images of internal structures for diagnostic evaluation.
- Image Analysis: Review and interpret ultrasound images, providing essential insights to physicians to aid in diagnosing and managing medical conditions.
- Documentation: Maintain precise and timely records of patient histories, procedures performed, and diagnostic results.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging findings and assist in patient care planning.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly perform equipment calibration and maintenance, ensuring consistent functionality and addressing any technical problems promptly.
- Patient Communication: Explain ultrasound procedures to patients, address concerns, and provide clear post-procedure care instructions.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiology or Ultrasound program.
- At least 1 year of experience in performing ultrasound procedures.
- Certification from ARRT or ARDMS.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Texas Medical Board MRT certification or ARDMS certification.
- Professional appearance with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive patient information with discretion.
