Registered Nurse - IMCU

MLR is currently searching for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our client’s Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) located near Comanche, TX!

 

Key Responsibilities for the IMCU RN:

  • Provide direct, patient-focused care to individuals in the IMCU, including the assessment, planning, and implementation of personalized nursing care strategies.
  • Administer prescribed medications, therapies, and treatments while closely monitoring patient reactions and adjusting care plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and effective patient care.
  • Utilize advanced medical equipment, including ventilators and cardiac monitoring systems.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all patient care activities, ensuring accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, treatment plans, and necessary follow-up care.
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare standards and protocols to sustain a safe and regulated care environment.

Qualifications for IMCU RN:

  • Active RN license in Texas is required.
  • Graduate from an accredited Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program in Nursing.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are required (or the willingness to obtain them upon hire).
  • Prior experience in an IMCU or similar critical care setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and organizational proficiency are essential.
