MLR (MLee Recruiting) is looking for a compassionate and skilled Nursing Specialist to join a reputable acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas. This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful

Salary Range: $65,599 - $90,979 per year

 

 

Work Schedule: Night shifts, Monday through Friday

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate health conditions and address patient concerns.
  • Medical History Documentation: Accurately document patient health histories, symptoms, and any relevant information.
  • Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for exams or treatments, ensuring they feel informed and comfortable.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments safely, monitoring for potential side effects or reactions.
  • Care Plan Coordination: Work collaboratively with the medical team to develop and update personalized care plans.
  • Wound Care: Manage wound care needs, including cleaning and dressing as required.
  • Procedure Assistance: Provide support during medical procedures, ensuring smooth operation.
  • Medical Equipment Management: Monitor and operate medical equipment to ensure proper functionality and patient safety.
  • Specimen Collection: Collect samples, such as blood and urine, for laboratory testing.
  • Patient & Family Education: Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and self-care strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and supervise licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and nursing students to maintain high-quality care.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN License: Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license.
  • CPR-BCLS Certification: Required for immediate patient care.
  • ACLS Certification: Mandatory within 6 months for C4 units.
  • NRP Certification: Needed within 6 months for C4 and Labor & Delivery units.
  • PALS or ENPC Certification: Required within 18 months for Pediatric units.
