Registered Nurse
MLR (MLee Recruiting) is looking for a compassionate and skilled Nursing Specialist to join a reputable acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas. This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful
impact on patients' lives as part of a dedicated healthcare team.
Salary Range: $65,599 - $90,979 per year
Work Schedule: Night shifts, Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate health conditions and address patient concerns.
- Medical History Documentation: Accurately document patient health histories, symptoms, and any relevant information.
- Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for exams or treatments, ensuring they feel informed and comfortable.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments safely, monitoring for potential side effects or reactions.
- Care Plan Coordination: Work collaboratively with the medical team to develop and update personalized care plans.
- Wound Care: Manage wound care needs, including cleaning and dressing as required.
- Procedure Assistance: Provide support during medical procedures, ensuring smooth operation.
- Medical Equipment Management: Monitor and operate medical equipment to ensure proper functionality and patient safety.
- Specimen Collection: Collect samples, such as blood and urine, for laboratory testing.
- Patient & Family Education: Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and self-care strategies.
- Team Leadership: Guide and supervise licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and nursing students to maintain high-quality care.
Qualifications:
- Active RN License: Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license.
- CPR-BCLS Certification: Required for immediate patient care.
- ACLS Certification: Mandatory within 6 months for C4 units.
- NRP Certification: Needed within 6 months for C4 and Labor & Delivery units.
- PALS or ENPC Certification: Required within 18 months for Pediatric units.
