MLR (MLee Recruiting) is looking for a compassionate and skilled Nursing Specialist to join a reputable acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas. This full-time, permanent position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives as part of a dedicated healthcare team.
Salary Range: $65,599 - $90,979 annually
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, night shifts.
Main Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessments: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine health conditions and address any patient concerns.
- Medical History Records: Keep accurate records of patients' health histories, symptoms, and other essential details.
- Patient Preparation: Get patients ready for exams or treatments, making sure they feel comfortable and well-informed.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments carefully, monitoring for any side effects or adverse reactions.
- Care Plan Coordination: Collaborate with the medical team to create and adjust personalized care plans.
- Wound Care Management: Handle wound care tasks, including cleaning and dressing wounds as necessary.
- Procedure Assistance: Support medical staff during procedures to ensure everything goes smoothly.
- Equipment Operation: Manage and operate medical equipment, ensuring it's in good working order and safe for patients.
- Sample Collection: Collect blood, urine, or other samples for lab tests.
- Patient and Family Education: Teach patients and their families about their treatment plans and provide self-care guidance.
- Leadership and Supervision: Mentor and oversee licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and nursing students to ensure top-quality care.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse License: Must have a current RN license.
- CPR-BCLS Certification: Required to provide immediate care.
- ACLS Certification: Needed within six months for C4 units.
- NRP Certification: Required within six months for C4 and Labor & Delivery units.
- PALS or ENPC Certification: Must obtain within 18 months for Pediatric units.
