Mental Health Consultant

As a Mental Health Consultant, you will provide support and guidance to individuals, organizations, and businesses in addressing mental health issues. You will be responsible for evaluating and diagnosing mental health disorders, providing therapeutic counseling, developing and implementing prevention and intervention strategies, and delivering mental health education and training to clients.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and diagnose mental health disorders using evidence-based assessment tools and methods.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on client needs, goals, and preferences.
• Provide individual and group counseling to clients, using a variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques.
• Monitor and track client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for clients.
• Develop and implement prevention and intervention strategies for individuals, organizations, and businesses to promote mental health and well-being.
• Deliver mental health education and training to clients, including workshops, seminars, and presentations.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and trends in mental health to provide evidence-based and effective services.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation.
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice in mental health.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in mental health counseling, psychology, or a related field.
• Licensed as a mental health professional in the state of practice.
• Strong clinical skills and experience in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of mental health laws, regulations, and ethical standards of practice.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
• LCSW Certification
