New Graduate RN – Surgical Care Nurse (Full-Time)

We are seeking a motivated new graduate Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced surgical inpatient care team. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in clinical nursing through hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to a wide range of post-operative and acute care needs. 

You’ll provide high-quality, evidence-based care to surgical patients, working collaboratively with an experienced team of providers, nurses, and allied health professionals. 

Qualifications: 

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN or Diploma required) 
• Current RN licensure or eligibility to sit for the NCLEX 
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required 
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and documentation skills 
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities: 

• Deliver direct nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) 
• Monitor patients recovering from surgery, administer medications, and document interventions accurately 
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to provide coordinated care 
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions, medications, and recovery plans 
• Participate in unit-based training, quality improvement, and shared governance initiatives
