Nuclear Medicine Technologist – NMT

 

We’re seeking a detail-oriented, compassionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to join our diagnostic imaging team in Brownwood, TX. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in patient care by performing nuclear medicine procedures, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, and producing high-quality diagnostic images for physician review.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with safety protocols
  • Operate nuclear imaging equipment (gamma cameras, PET/CT, etc.)
  • Perform a range of diagnostic procedures including cardiac, bone, thyroid, and other organ scans
  • Ensure proper documentation and patient record-keeping
  • Monitor equipment function and maintain cleanliness and sterility
  • Educate and support patients throughout the diagnostic process
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff for optimal patient care

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • Current certification or eligibility through ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB
  • Active BLS certification
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and handling of radiopharmaceuticals
  • Strong communication and technical skills
  • Previous experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered
