Nuclear Medicine Technologist – NMT
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, compassionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to join our diagnostic imaging team in Brownwood, TX. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in patient care by performing nuclear medicine procedures, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, and producing high-quality diagnostic images for physician review.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with safety protocols
- Operate nuclear imaging equipment (gamma cameras, PET/CT, etc.)
- Perform a range of diagnostic procedures including cardiac, bone, thyroid, and other organ scans
- Ensure proper documentation and patient record-keeping
- Monitor equipment function and maintain cleanliness and sterility
- Educate and support patients throughout the diagnostic process
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff for optimal patient care
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Current certification or eligibility through ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB
- Active BLS certification
- Knowledge of radiation safety and handling of radiopharmaceuticals
- Strong communication and technical skills
- Previous experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered
