Ultrasound Technologist
MLR (MLee Recruiting) is searching for a full-time, permanent Ultrasound Technologist to become a key member of a dedicated team at a well-established acute-care hospital near Brownwood, Texas!
Salary: $61,799 - $85,699 per year
Primary Responsibilities:
- Patient Preparation: Position and prepare patients for ultrasound exams, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Equipment Operation: Skillfully operate ultrasound machines to obtain clear and precise images of internal structures for diagnostic purposes.
- Work Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts from Thursday to Saturday, 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM.
- Image Interpretation: Review and assess ultrasound images to assist in diagnostic evaluations and guide treatment decisions.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of patient histories, procedures performed, and diagnostic results.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other medical staff to review findings and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure ultrasound equipment is regularly calibrated and properly maintained, reporting any technical issues as they arise.
- Patient Communication: Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients, respond to any inquiries, and offer post-procedure guidance when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Ultrasound or Radiology program.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in ultrasound imaging.
- Required certification: ARRT or ARDMS.
- Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Valid Texas Medical Board MRT license or ARDMS certification.
- Professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
- Ability to manage and protect sensitive and confidential patient information.
