Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Full Time 

 

MLR is looking for a committed and proficient Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our client's dynamic rehabilitation team in Texas. This crucial role involves supporting physical therapy treatments and delivering high-quality care to enhance patient recovery.

 

Primary Responsibilities for a PTA:

  • Support physical therapists in executing individualized treatment plans and therapy programs for patients with a range of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions.
  • Perform patient evaluations and collect relevant data to assist in tailoring therapy plans.
  • Deliver hands-on therapy, including therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities, while closely monitoring patient responses and progress.
  • Educate patients and their families on effective exercise routines, techniques, and home care practices to improve recovery and prevent future injuries.
  • Accurately document patient progress, treatment results, and any changes in patient conditions in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective patient care.
  • Maintain and ensure the cleanliness and proper function of therapy equipment, following safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Follow established safety protocols, infection control procedures, and regulatory standards to maintain a safe therapy environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited institution.
  • Active licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Texas.
  • Valid Certification in CPR.
