Occupational Therapist (OT) - Full Time
MLR is seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our client's healthcare team in Texas. In this rewarding role, you will provide expert therapy services to help patients achieve their highest level of function and independence.
Key Responsibilities of an Occupational Therapist:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to develop individualized therapy plans.
- Design and implement personalized treatment programs to address various conditions and functional limitations, including adaptive techniques and activities.
- Provide hands-on therapy and interventions, focusing on improving daily living skills, fine motor skills, and cognitive functions.
- Educate patients and their families about therapy techniques, home exercises, and strategies to support recovery and enhance quality of life.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, and nurses, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
- Stay current with advancements in occupational therapy practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
OT Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Texas.
- Certification by the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners is required.
- Current valid CPR license
- Valid Texas drivers' license
