Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Quality Assurance Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing, executing, and managing a variety of testing processes. This position requires a deep understanding of both manual and automated testing methodologies, as well as strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Test Planning and Design: Create test plans, cases, and scripts based on requirements.
  • Test Execution: Perform functional, regression, and integration testing, both manual and automated.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects; work with developers to resolve issues.
  • Quality Assurance Processes: Implement and refine QA processes; ensure adherence to standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document test results and prepare reports for stakeholders.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on QA trends and continuously improve testing processes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate with teams to align on requirements and resolve issues.
  • User Experience Testing: Evaluate software usability and provide feedback on user experience. 

About You:

  • Must be located in Austin or willing to relocate to Austin 
  • Requires minimum 1-3  years of experience as a Quality Assurance Coordinator or Tester,  SDET, or similar quality automation role, with an emphasis on programming
  • Thorough understanding of the software development process and all aspects of Agile Quality Engineering and a proven record of making impact in delivering quality at scale
  • Basic understanding of software testing and Agile methodologies.
  • Proven experience with designing and coding tools, frameworks, wide-reaching solutions
  • Working experience with test automation tools, such as Playwright and Selenium
  • Flexibility and creativity in handling multiple activities and competing priorities
