*** MLee Healthcare is seeking a qualified Nursing Manager to join an established Surgery department in the highly-desirable city of Austin, TX ***  

Position Summary:

The Nursing Manager is a middle management position with 24-hour responsibility for assigned patient care areas. The Nursing Manager will promote professional practice, and coordinate patient care activities in areas of administration, clinical, and human resources. This position requires an advanced level of management expertise as demonstrated through leadership, departmental functioning and educational preparation. The Nursing Manager of Surgery plans and facilitates program development, fiscal planning and management of the Surgery Services department. Directs and coordinates the activities of Surgical Services to include planning and directing staffing assignments, overseeing the preparation and completion of work schedules, as well as overseeing day-to-day operations of the PACU and Surgery departments.

Position Requirements:

• Current Valid Texas RN License
• Current BCLS Certification (or obtained within 30 days of start date)
• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
• BSN required
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the surgical department with 2 years experience in a supervisory/charge nurse position in surgery
