Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • Assessing patients’ conditions and implementing necessary care plans
  • Treating wounds
  • Providing advanced life support
  • Assisting physicians in performing procedures
  • Observing and recording vital signs
  • Ensuring that ventilators, monitors, and any other medical equipment is functioning properly
  • Ordering diagnostics
  • Administering intravenous fluids and medications
  • Responding to life-saving situations and using nursing standards and protocols for proper treatment
  • Acting as a patient advocate
  • Providing education and support to the patient's families.


Education, Skills, and Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas
  • Preferred: 1-2 year's clinical experience, in medical, surgical, or critical care.
  • BLS Certified
  • Complies with accepted professional standards and principles.
  • Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligations.
  • Has excellent observation, good clinical judgment, and good oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work with little to no supervision.
  • Acts as a liaison between patient/family and healthcare personnel to ensure necessary care is provided promptly and effectively.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
