Find Your Purpose in the Heart of Austin: Help Children Thrive as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist

There’s something magnetic about Austin. Maybe it’s the rhythm of a city that pulses with creativity and compassion. Or maybe it’s the way this community holds its own—eclectic, grounded, and fiercely supportive. If you're a Pediatric Occupational Therapist who believes healing starts with connection, and growth begins with trust, we’d love to welcome you into a place where your expertise meets purpose.

At our clinic, we do more than provide care—we walk alongside families through the small milestones and big victories that shape a child’s development. Whether it’s helping a toddler master fine motor skills or guiding a young student through sensory integration challenges, every day is a chance to change a life—and to feel your own life enriched by the work you do.

Join Us as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist

We’re seeking a compassionate, licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) to provide individualized outpatient therapy to a pediatric population. This is more than a role—it’s a chance to practice with heart, surrounded by a close-knit team who treat each other like family and patients like neighbors.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:

Developing Individualized Treatment Plans for each child based on comprehensive evaluations, observations, and caregiver input.

Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills, motor development, sensory regulation, and cognitive functioning.

Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members including PTs, SLPs, pediatricians, and educators to ensure a holistic approach to care.

Educating and coaching families and caregivers, empowering them with tools to reinforce progress at home.

Tracking progress and adjusting treatment plans to meet evolving needs while celebrating every win, big or small.

What You Bring:

Deep empathy and a child-centered approach to care.

Ability to communicate effectively with both kids and their grownups.

A playful, creative spirit and the clinical skills to back it up.

Commitment to best practices and continued growth.

Education:

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Certifications:

Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) in the State of Texas.

Certification through the NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy).

Skills:

Clinical experience in pediatric therapy preferred, but new grads with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.

Strong observational, assessment, and documentation skills.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative outpatient clinic setting.

Able to adapt therapy techniques to each child's unique developmental needs and learning style.

Benefits:

Competitive salary based on experience and credentials.

Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.

Paid time off and holiday pay to support your own well-being.

Professional development support, including CEU stipends and mentorship.

Opportunities to advance within a growing, values-driven practice.

A team that sees you—and supports you—like family.

What You’ll Be Doing

From your first day on the floor, you’ll be at the intersection of clinical excellence and creative play. Our clinic was built with children in mind—bright, engaging, and filled with tools that transform therapy into a journey of discovery. You’ll evaluate each child with compassion, design care plans that speak to their individual strengths, and walk with families through challenges and triumphs alike.

Every puzzle solved, every shoe tied, every meltdown averted is a testament to the power of skilled, intentional care. You’ll have the freedom to tailor interventions to each child’s needs, whether that means crafting a sensory diet for a kindergartener with SPD, or helping a preteen strengthen executive function skills to build classroom confidence.

But most importantly, you’ll build trust. Because we believe therapy works best when it begins with relationship.

Why You’ll Love the Team — and the Neighborhood That Grounds Us

In Austin, nothing is one-size-fits-all. The tacos are hand-pressed, the music is live, and the people are as real as it gets. That’s the energy you’ll find inside our clinic, too.

Our team isn’t just a collection of providers—we’re a family of collaborators, cheerleaders, and lifelong learners. We celebrate each other’s wins, pick up the slack when life gets busy, and go out of our way to help new team members feel right at home. You’ll be joining a group of therapists and support staff who are passionate about making a difference—not just for patients, but for each other.

And when your shift ends? You’re still in one of the best places to live, work, and play.

A Day in the Life Outside the Clinic

Life in Austin is a beautiful balance of big-city vibrancy and neighborhood charm. You can start your morning paddleboarding along Lady Bird Lake, grab a cortado from a local café tucked under a canopy of live oaks, and still make it to work with time to spare. On weekends, you might browse vintage finds at the South Congress shops, catch a concert at a tucked-away venue, or bring the kids to explore one of the area's shaded greenbelts and sculpture parks.

This part of Austin is known for its laid-back authenticity. It’s where creative spirits meet grounded souls. It’s where food trucks sit beside heritage trees, and where people know their baristas, neighbors, and sometimes even their city council reps. The pace of life here lets you exhale—but the energy is anything but sleepy.

From community farmers markets to locally owned bookstores, family-friendly festivals to live music in unexpected corners, you’ll find it easy to plant roots here. And if you have a family of your own, you’ll love the supportive school communities, access to nature, and the sense of belonging that runs deep throughout the area.

We chose Austin because it felt like home. We think you will too.

The Kind of Therapist Who Thrives Here

You see the whole child. You know that development isn’t linear and that progress looks different for every family. You’re not just charting therapy milestones—you’re helping a child find their voice, discover confidence, and build skills that ripple through their daily lives.

You believe in the power of early intervention, the magic of collaboration, and the beauty of a high-five that really means something.

Whether you’re just starting out or bringing years of experience, if you’re looking for a place to grow—and to belong—you’ll find it here.

Come Build Something Meaningful With Us

Every great therapist remembers their first clinic family—the place where they were challenged, championed, and changed. That’s who we aim to be for you.

We’re not just filling a position. We’re building a team of people who care deeply and show up fully—for our kids, for our families, and for each other.

If you’re ready to use your skills in a setting where your passion matters, your creativity is welcomed, and your heart for kids has a home, we’d love to meet you.

Apply today to join our team as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist—and let’s help children flourish, one milestone at a time.
