Key Responsibilities for a Registered Nurse:
- Assist in Procedures and Patient Preparation: Support cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures, prepare patients, explain processes, obtain consent, and prep insertion sites.
- Monitor and Manage Patient Care: Continuously monitor vital signs, administer medications, and provide post-procedure care, including recovery monitoring and complication assessment.
- Equipment and Infection Control: Set up, calibrate, and maintain all necessary equipment, ensure proper sterilization, and uphold strict infection control protocols.
- Documentation and Patient Education: Accurately document patient care and procedures, educate patients and families about post-procedure care, and collaborate with the cath lab team for optimal patient outcomes.
Registered Nurse Qualifications:
- Required current RN license in Texas.
- Required BLS certification.
- Preferred experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
