Ultrasound Technologist

 

MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a full-time, permanent Ultrasound Technologist to join a dedicated team at a respected acute-care hospital near Brownwood, Texas!

 

Salary: $61,768 - $85,429 per year

 

Ultrasound Technologist Key Responsibilities:

 

Patient Preparation: Ensure patients are appropriately prepared and positioned for ultrasound procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout.

 

Equipment Operation: Skillfully operate ultrasound machines to capture clear, high-quality images of internal organs and structures.

 

Work Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM, Thursday through Saturday.

 

Image Interpretation: Analyze and interpret ultrasound images to assist in diagnosing conditions and informing treatment decisions.

 

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient histories, procedures performed, and diagnostic results.

 

Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Collaborate closely with physicians, radiologists, and other medical professionals to discuss imaging findings and enhance patient care.

 

Equipment Maintenance: Ensure ultrasound machines are properly maintained and calibrated, promptly addressing any technical issues.

 

Patient Communication: Clearly explain ultrasound procedures to patients, address any concerns, and provide post-procedure care instructions.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of an accredited Radiology or Ultrasound program.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in ultrasound.
  • Certifications: ARRT or ARDMS certification is required.
  • Licensure: Must hold Texas Medical Board MRT or ARDMS certification.
  • BLS Certification: Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Professional Appearance: Must maintain a polished and professional appearance at all times.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive patient information with care and discretion.
